TWYFORD | BERKSHIRE
An exciting, mainly contemporary garden design for an eclectic house, dating back to the 17th century, in the centre of Twyford village in Berkshire.
The garden is a mix of modern and traditional materials with clean design lines – polished concrete retaining walls, steps and planting beds create a sharp, modern feel in the lower part of the garden, up against a cool, new, two storey extension. In the upper gardens we have used materials that were existing on the site to link back to the original cottage. We have also used a narrow palette of plants to compliment the design and present a cohesive scheme that links both areas of the garden. We have specifically chosen plants that soften the strong lines of the concrete and other hard landscaping.
