The Green Room is a Berkshire-based garden design practice.  We have been creating gardens since 2002.  Headed up by Jennie Herrington, a graduate of the prestigious Oxford College of Garden Design, Jennie is an enthusiastic and intuitive designer with an eye for detail.  Her love of landscapes, architecture and the natural world is evident in her design work and the resulting gardens – she has created a unique style for the practice, a ‘Modern Naturalism’, that looks to the house, the site and the surrounding landscape as well as to the client, to influence designs, so that they sit effortlessly in their environment, for the maximum enjoyment of everyone that uses them.

Jennie is supported by talented designer Naomi Gowers.  Naomi is a graduate of the London School of Garden Design.  Prior to embarking on a career in garden design she studied sculpture and horticulture and draws on both of these to great effect when creating a design.

The team bring a wealth of experience into the mix when designing a garden.  They also draw on the skills of a carefully honed team of talented landscapers, plants people, professional services and master craftsmen to create gardens for clients that can boast honesty, integrity and above all beauty; all tailored to each individual garden and client.

A garden designer is someone who creates a garden, specifically for you.  A garden that makes you want to be in it; to enjoy it; when you are out in it or seeing it from inside your home, or even imagining it.  A garden should suit you, as well as the house, the surrounding landscape and the neighbourhood.  It should make you smile, excite you, make you want to use it, to see it, in all weathers and at all times of the year.

At The Green Room Garden Design we take your brief, no matter how crazy, outlandish or mundane and create, especially for you, a garden; with all the things on your wish list and some you had never even considered.
